Valerie Judge

Integrity. Compassion. Fairness.

I’ve lived happily in Manningham for 9 years with my husband, who is a lifelong resident, and run my health business in Bolin Ward. As a qualified Social Worker and local business owner with two degrees and a master's from Melbourne University, I have empathy, skills and experience to effectively serve and represent both residents and businesses.

I have a diverse background in psychology, business, entrepreneurship, and mental health. I have worked in public and private health, sports, and local government. I have worked directly with children and families, young people, older adults, business owners and entrepreneurs.

I volunteer my skills and experience by mentoring young adults and alumni from Melbourne University.

I spend my workdays helping people, a key quality for an elected Councillor.

3 Priority Areas

    • To support mental health services, sports clubs, and youth clubs to be accessible in Manningham, with appointment times when needed, and fair prices, to help families with cost-of-living pressures.

    • To support older adults to have the services and help they need to stay connected, independent, and enjoy life. This includes safe paths in parks and opportunities to socialise at sports clubs and activities.

    • To advocate for help with these connections and provide low-cost options to ease increased living costs.

    • To support businesses in Manningham to have good networking groups, and shared workspaces to help them collaborate and grow.

    • To advocate and listen to local businesses.

Community Involvement

I’m actively involved in the community as a committee member of Templestowe Bowling Club.

I’m a member of the Manningham Business Network, promoting local business connections, and supporting local businesses to grow and support the community.

I work in partnership with local businesses and not for profit organisations in Manningham to promote community engagement and participation.

I’d love to hear from you
